Dr. Farasat Ashraf, MD
Is this someone who should be treating Jewish patients?
Farasat Ashraf is a doctor who questioned the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7, 2023, accused a Jewish politician of having “primary” allegiance to Israel, and denigrated another Jewish political leader for being “white” and “Jewish.”
In one tweet, Ashraf said, “Imagine believing all kinds of fake reports without proof or verification.” In another tweet, he wrote, “Oh, shut up. All these alleged atrocities are being walked back by so-called journalists and the military.” He also signal boosted a tweet reading, “The truth of the matter is most of these bogus Israeli propaganda stories would not work unless majority of western audiences already have a deeply racist/oreintalist view of Palestinians and the general Muslim world.”
Ashraf has accused Sen. Chuck Schumer of having a “primary political allegiance to Israel” and claimed he was not punished for inviting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to an event “because well …”
Speaking of Ukrainian President Zelensky, Ashraf wrote, “He didn’t sell his soul. He’s white, and he’s Jewish.”

Ashraf also asked, “How is it disgusting?” in response to criticism of the viral tweet posted by John Cusack that read, “Follow the money” with a Jewish Star of David muzzling people with the quote, “To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.” While the quote is attributed to Voltaire, people claim it was actually Kevin Alfred Strom from the National Alliance National Vanguard, whom some claim is a neo-Nazi.
Reports claim Ashraf practiced geriatric medicine at Wilson Medical Center, a Duke LifePoint Hospital, but it is unclear whether he still is employed by Wilson Medical Center, because he is reportedly not accepting new patients.
